Day-67 Holley NY to Macedon NY

Ed and I are riding together today. He will be home in Vermont in a few more days and we may ride together till then. He will have gone almost 9000 miles by then. Ed left from his home in Vermont, went to the west coast and turned around.

The day began with the best breakfast I have had on this trip. Then we rode the Erie Canal trail for about 50 miles through neat old towns and also through Rochester NY. Cool and cloudy out of the day with a little drizzle early on. The have frost warnings for tonight. We're camping next lock 30 on the canal tonight. There's a good pavilion but lots of traffic around the lock and the fire station. Maybe not the best spot....but it will do.

We met a young guy today who was just started his tour this week. He's going to California and then down to South America. We asked how he was getting over the Rockies? He said he would figure it out when he got there:)

Three canals came together here in Rochester

The last three are pictures of our camp site and some information about its history.
